The Centre for the Study of Learning and Performance (CSLP) is pleased to announce the second CSLP Mini Conference to be held on June 9-10, 2011 on the campus of Bishop’s University in Lennoxville (Sherbrooke). Mini Conferences offer a venue for CSLP members, staff, and students to present their ongoing research as it relates to transferability. This Call for Presentations is open to everyone working in the CSLP.
We encourage submissions addressing transferability within the areas of:
- Transfer of Knowledge or skills
- From Theory to Practice
Oral, poster, or workshop presentations in either French or English will be accepted. All presenters should include an explicit statement in the abstract about how the theme of transferability will be dealt with in their presentation. Everyone is encouraged to relate their research to at least one of the broad areas listed above and to make their research accessible to listeners from outside their specific area of research.
- Oral presentations will be 20 minutes in length plus 10 minutes for questions and comments.
- Poster presentations can be single or multi-authored and relate to finished projects or projects that are still in-progress.
- Workshops must be short, interactive and should focus on transferability of skills (e.g., how to get published, how to make scientific knowledge accessible).
For each submission, please provide a title, an abstract of 250-300 words, and the name, title, and affiliation of each presenter.
