At the CSLP, we emphasize both basic and applied multidisciplinary research and encourage the dissemination of our findings in a variety of forms and to a variety of audiences. We publish our findings in peer-reviewed journals, present at scholarly conferences, and communicate with partners via our Advisory Board, this web site and through activities such as our professional development institutes and research fairs.
The CSLP is committed to and experienced at working with educational partners and policy-makers to insure that best practices, new data collection instruments, and effective new techniques that are developed, meet the needs of the educational community both in Quebec and throughout Canada. We are increasingly involved in efforts to turn research evidence into practice and make the transformation from knowledge generation to knowledge mobilization.
Resources that have been developed by CSLP researchers are available free of charge for educational purposes.
These are the forms that our knowledge products take, focusing both on new knowledge and the use of knowledge for practice. These include:
- Research Dissemination consists of theoretical, methodological and applied publications and reports, in the form of scholarly articles, chapters and books, systematic reviews of research, policy and practitioner guides and recommendations.
- Instruments include the design and development of methods and techniques for the assessment and evaluation of educational processes and outcomes.
- Tools and Software are evidence-based multimedia tools for teaching, learning and performance support.
- Professional Development and Training involve demonstrations, workshops, institutes and on-going support.
