Established in 1988 and based at Concordia University, the Centre for the Study of Learning and Performance (CSLP) is a research centre consisting of over 50 principal members, research collaborators and/or associates, 16 support staff, and over 40 graduate students. Researchers are from Concordia (Education, Psychology, Applied Linguistics), McGill, Université de Montréal, UQAM, Bishop’s, Louisiana State, Johns Hopkins, and McMaster universities, and at CEGEP Montmorency and Vanier and Dawson Colleges. CSLP partnerships span the Ministry of Education (Anglophone Services and the provincial QESN-RECITs), the majority of English language school boards, and some French language school boards. The CSLP is also actively involved in several Québec-based research networks and bodies such as the Développement, intégration et évaluation des technologies de formation et d'apprentissage (DIVA group), and the Centre de transfert pour la réussite éducative du Québec (CTREQ).
