Miguel is an educator and a PhD candidate. As an educator, he is committed to teaching excellence and student engagement. Miguel currently teaches Business Communication at the university level, combining almost 20 years of teaching and industry experience to prepare students for excellence in written and oral communication in a highly competitive co-op program. As a PhD candidate in Applied Linguistics, Miguel’s research interest include raciolinguistics and accent discrimination. He is passionate about transformative research that seeks social justice for racialized communities of learners.
