Bojana Krsmanovic
GSDE Co-Chair
Bojana graduated from the University of Novi Sad (Serbia) with both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in English Language and Literature. She is currently in her third year of PhD studies in Educational Technology, doing research on the Maker Culture and implementation of maker practices in education. Her research interests revolve especially around empowerment of girls and women in STEM, as well as equipping at-risk students with relevant twenty-first century skills for future education, careers, and everyday life through making. Outside of work, Bojana enjoys singing, doing crafts, or watching anime.

Monyka L. Rodrigues
GSDE Co-Chair
Monyka is starting her third year of PhD studies specializing in Child Studies in the Department of Education at Concordia University. Her background is in cognitive and language development, but recently concentrated her efforts on literacy development. She is specifically interested in the cognitive effects of reading words in different contexts (stories and lists), and the impact of the home literacy environment on shared storybook reading and print exposure. When not working, you can find her cooking vegetarian meals, gaming, or reading young adult fiction.
