Instructions to Presenters
Cracker Barrel Presentations
- Duration- 20 minutes including the following:
- Duration of the presentation is 15 minutes
- Duration of the Question and Answer Period is 5 minutes
- Presenter gets to repeat his or her presentation 3 times
- Presentation Format- PowerPoints, Cardboard Posters, Graphs, Images or other form of visual aids
- Presenters should bring their own laptops if their presentations would take the format of a PowerPoint
Panel Discussions
- Duration- 20 minutes per presenter
- Question and Answer Period- 15 minutes for the three presentations moderated by Chair
- Presentation Format- PowerPoints, Charts, Graphs, Videos or other form of visual aids
- Presenters should save their presentations on a USB to upload them on the laptop that will be provided by the Organizing Committee of the Symposium
- Presenters may make copies of handouts to distribute to participants
Posters
- Presenter designs a poster that describes the take-home message of his or her research
- Presenter has 4 minutes to discuss his or her poster
- Poster format- Printed poster that is 3x4 feet. For more information on how to design your poster review Dr. Silva’s “How to Make A Poster”
- Presenters may make 8 x 11.5 copies of posters to distribute to participants
Presentations will be repeated as time permits depending on the number of participants and their interaction with the presenter.
