Clarification Regarding Presentation Formats

Presenters, take note of the following:

  • Thirty minute presentations will consist of a spoken presentation by the presenter(s) for no more than 30 minutes, followed by a 10 minute question and discussion session. That means the total time you will be up there to present and answer questions will be no more than 40 minutes total.
  • Fifteen minute presentations will consist of a spoken presentation by the presenter(s) for no more than 15 minutes, followed by a 5 minute question and discussion session. That means the total time you will be up there to present and answer questions will be no more than 20 minutes total.

Please note there will be a moderator in each room who will be timing each presentation. In order to accommodate the abundance of submissions, our schedule will be tight, therefore please practice your presentation to end on or before you slotted presentation time. The moderator hold the right to stop you at the given time to allow for all presenters to present.

Keynote Speaker Revealed!

Submissions for Proposals are now closed. Thank you to everyone who submitted an abstract. It is also with great pleasure that we announce that our Keynote speaker this year will be Dr. Shaheen Shariff who will present on Cyberbullying. Read more.

Online Registration is Open!

We are now accepting online registrations for those interested in attending our Symposium this year. There are no registration fees and individuals can sign up live.

Logo Contest Winner Revealed!

We are happy to announce that Gabriela Kostova's logo design for this year's theme was selected as the winning submission! A big thank you goes out to everyone who participated. Take a look at all the submissions.

Deadline Extended for Proposals & Logo Contest Update

We hope that the new year started off well for you! The call for proposals deadline has been pushed to February 15th. Also, thank you to everyone who took part in our logo contest. We will be announcing the winner this Friday!

Call for Proposals - Now Accepting!

The Symposium will consist of presentations in a variety of formats, alumni and faculty panels representing each of the Department of Education's four graduate programs, professional development workshops, keynote speakers, a networking reception and a few planned surprises! It's free to attend! Interested in presenting? Read our guidelines and submit. The submission deadline has been EXTENDED to February 15th.

Logo Contest: Get Involved!

Our logo contest is now live! Open to all Concordia students, the winning logo for our theme this year will be displayed on our site, journal, and promotional material leading up to and during the symposium in March.
